  i feel very happy and proud of myself as i went to the shop and brought my very first christmas cd the other day!.

  i have been playing it today.. very cool!

  i love singing along to the tunes.. not that i can sing!.

  Do you think stepping on ants is allowed ? What about bacteria - is it ok to suck that in and kill it?

  Do you reckon animals still die then? What about if you have a pet that visits you everyday and then one day, you nip into the woods to say hello (and for a quick stroke) and its rotting corpse is there. Do you think that our perfect (Borg like) emotions will accept rotting as part of our perfect earth ?

  Composite Sign

  studying with the witnesses 15 years ago, i was told that all the signs that jesus gave (earthquakes, wars, pestilence, and so on) would all occur in one generations time.

  that was the composite sign, that all happens in 1 generation.

  they said there were earthquakes thousands of years ago, wars thousands of years ago, famines thousands of years ago, but that wasnt the sign of jesus.

  Most active JWs still believe that this is the time my friend (the final generation) !

  One told me two weeks ago that the CLOCK WAS TICKING. I think he was trying to scare me.

  Funny thing was I was told that years ago when I first knew him. His method of trying to get me back, is to beat the fear of my own demise into me. Little does he know that death can be a friend in this life and I have meditated hard to try and accept my own. Therefore the old scare tactics hardly have an impact.

  everyone round here is living in fear... ill never trust squirrels again.. knutsford, england, resident blanche kellye, on a squirrel that has attacked several city residents.

  the above quote is from this week's newsweek.

  how come they don't just make a nice rice pilauf from that squirrel?.

  Hey - its no joke.

  I got bit by a Squirrel at my moms place.

  I saw it appear with blinking, cute, little eyes on her fence between two trees. I thought - ahhhhh, bless! So I offered it my finger.

  He took it !!!

  Right between its teeth and bit hard.

  That hurt BAD .... I let out a mighty roar and the little shite leaped before I could bite back.

  I still love Squirrels though and entice them into my own garden with nuts and acorns.

  ..... (little do they know that I also have a rifle with a scope )

  losing the shadow of Jehovah.

  just the other night i was feeling a bit down and when i went to bed i started to pray , then remebered i dont believe in god.

  my whole life i believed there was a supreme being watching over me , who i could talk to and was listening to our prayers.its hard to get rid of that feeling from the back of you mind.

  sometimes,when i do something i think i shouldn't , i start to say a quick prayer but then stop when i realise i'm just talking to myself.

  Ahh I see - the fade out.

  Stop doing the talks though. Pointless unless you mean 100% what you are saying. Just say you are having panic attacks and sleepless nights about having to do them. Always worked for me. Never did a single talk

  Why bother going to meetings with that particular mindset? I'm not sure I understand. If I think back to when I used to attend meetings'n'stuff, if I had thought in my head "you don't fucking exist", that I would not have had the motivation to attend.

  a friend of mine recommended i peruse this forum because he is of the impression i would find it rewarding.

  the basis of his recommendation was due to a very long friendship and not due to any association (that i do not have) with jehovahs witnesses.

  he considers me his superior in intellect and wants an appraisal of this sight but to be honest i have neither the incliniation nor the time to get in deep enough to comment.

  my family has decided to shun me.

  last week my brother and my husband got in a heated debate and finally my brother asked him why he doesn't believe in the jw's and he said because there religion is based on a lie.

  well my parents found out and now have decided the best thing to do is shun me.

  i need help explaining to my mama (jw-but not attending meetings) that it's okay to celebrate x-mas.

  You probably want to speak to Nancee "Barks", he/she bangs on about Christmas being a lovely Christian celebration often. I got accused of being a Troll or somethin' for suggesting that Christmas has little to do with the Christian faith.
